Chuck grew up in southwestern Ohio and lived in Kentucky and Illinois before moving to his current home in the Pacific Northwest.  An art major in college, his musical interests didn't get rolling until later in life.  He first learned clawhammer banjo, then later guitar in order to accompany himself and perform with friends.  Chuck started writing his own music about twenty years ago to express his lyrical ideas and melodies as well as his perceptions about life and living.

His upbeat style of music has been described as “Cosmic Folk.”  He has performed at restaurants, coffeehouses, and house concerts in the Seattle area, L.A., Chicago, Kona, and Victoria B.C.  Chuck's audiences enjoy his warm expressive voice and image-rich lyrics.  His songwriting shows a strong appreciation of both the physical and metaphysical world.  A fan at a recent concert described Chuck's music as an "Invitation to Consciousness.”
